Send a paper

Authors submitting an article for publication in the journal must submit their text in its final form, accompanied by the required abstracts: one abstract in the same language as the article (in principle, English or French, maximum 1,200 characters) and two abstracts in other languages, one in a widely spoken language (mandatorily French if the article is written in another language), the other in a language freely chosen by the author (who may, in particular, use a Finno-Ugric language).

Authors are asked to submit their manuscript by email (adefo@adefo.org). It is strongly recommended that the following files be used to facilitate formatting:

The formatting instructions of our editor, Presses de l’Inalco, are available here.

Submitted articles are subject to peer review. The reading committee is composed of the editorial board and the scientific committee. External experts may be consulted. Authors will be notified of the decision within a maximum of six months.

Language policy

We accept papers in French, English, and other Uralic languages. In the latter case, papers may be translated into French by the reading committee.

Papers in French and in English are proof-read by native speakers.
